On Engfish and finding your voice as a writer

When I looked out the window yesterday morning the North Sea looked like a sheet of ice. It’s usual white peaked waves appeared frozen and the horizon melded into a haze of fog, a strangely impressionistic clear fog.

PGE, a fairly regular commenter on Goannatree alerted me to this article. If you are a teacher of English it is worth a read. It isn’t long but it is incisive. It’s about finding your voice as a writer.
