If teaching doesn’t work out, you can always go to Law school…

Because I haven’t had enough of Taylor Mali and because this is the best answer to the dinner party question, “So you’re a teacher, be honest what do you make?” I’ve heard yet.

This is Taylor Mali and “What Teachers Make?, or objection overruled, or if teaching doesn’t work out, you can always go to law school!” This was performed at the very first Page Meets Stage pairing at the Bowery Poetry Club on November 12, 2005.  

There’s a little irony in this for me – seeing as i went to law school first and then decided I wanted to teach! But his passionate message is challenging…
