me on Wikipedia? who woulda thunk it?

So I’m quoted and discussed on Wikipedia….all in regard to the post I wrote a while back on VDM and whether or not it constituted a vanity press and expressing my opinions of their marketing/trawling for authors tactics. The interesting thing with the Wikipedia discussion is that I am one of a number of academic bloggers they discuss and determine whether or not we can be considered credible academic sources. I wasn’t trying to be a “credible academic source” per se I was just presenting my own experience and opinion and that in and of itself, at least experientially and anecdotally, is credible.

The funny thing is, I have since received another request from a different company asking if they can publish my as yet unwritten PhD thesis. So what do you think i should do? write another post like the VDM post publishing the email, or should i engage the company and ask them the same questions that I asked VDM?

Just a short post this morning. We’ll see how the afternoon progresses! I’m feeling icky and I’m glad I can tackle some of this massive pile of reading and data entry (yes, a PhD thesis in Lit and Theology sometimes involves data entry).
