A couple of months I was talking with Jez Carr and Miriam Jones (after Miriam’s awesome St Andrews gig) about what it means to be an artist. Jez asked me what I was interested in. I talked about my writing, about my photography, about people and their stories. I admitted that I struggled with taking on the label of an artist, particularly that of writer. I think Photographer is something that sits a little more comfortably…and i’ll share with you tomorrow why.
But I struggled with calling myself a writer. I’m going to explore why in a post in a couple of days.
But right now. I want to ask you, what do you think an artist is? what is a “creative” person?
